FORT WORTH—A multi-vehicle collision involving multiple 18-wheelers results in the closure of all eastbound lanes of I-30 in Fort Worth this morning.
To help with medical assistance for anyone who might be hurt, an emergency helicopter touched down on the highway.

The collision happened on I-30 close to the East Loop 820 intersection in Tarrant County just before six in the morning.
Additionally, the ramp leading to eastbound I-20 from northbound East Loop 820 is totally blocked.
It’s still unknown how many cars were involved in the collision and what caused it. Authorities have, however, verified that a semi-truck and a number of other vehicles were involved.
Highway 80 is also seeing a separate multi-mile congestion. That incident’s cause and specifics are similarly unknown.
It is anticipated that the highway will be closed for a long time.
