FORT WORTH:At a shooting range in Fort Worth on Monday night, a man shot himself in the head while trying to clear a malfunctioning gun.
Just before nine o’clock at night, police arrived at Shoot Smart, a training center and gun range.
The man was on the shooting line when the pistol malfunctioned, according to Fort Worth police. The gun fired as he was attempting to remove live ammunition, hitting him in the head.
At the scene, the individual was declared dead.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is attempting to ascertain the official cause of death, while Fort Worth police are looking into the event.
The identity of the man is still unknown.
