Texas’s West Oak CliffEarly on Tuesday morning in west Oak Cliff, a motorist collided with a Dallas police car that was parked.
We know:
Shortly after 4:30 a.m., an officer in the 100 block of North Walton Walker Boulevard made a help call.
Investigators found that another vehicle struck a marked police cruiser that was empty.
The motorist had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue. There were no cops hurt.
The inquiry is still under progress.
What is unknown to us:
Police have not disclosed any information about what caused or contributed to the collision.
The officer’s position in respect to the parked police car at the moment of contact is unknown.
