We know:
At approximately 7:20 a.m., the deputies were responding to a serious collision at eastbound Interstate 20 and Cockrell Hill Road.
According to officials, a black Mercedes automobile struck the cops from behind while they were seated in their vehicle with their emergency lights on.
The Mercedes driver and the deputies were transported to a nearby hospital.
The motorist is being accused with driving while intoxicated, according to authorities.
