Flames seen from outside during fire at Fort Worth hotel

Fort Worth, TexasOn Thursday, firefighters were called to a Fort Worth hotel fire.

We know:

When an automatic alarm went off, Fort Worth firemen arrived at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel on East Altamesa Boulevard, close to I-35W.

Firefighters arrived to find flames emanating from a sixth-story window.

In order to put out the fire, crews first battled it from outside the structure before moving inside. Within seventeen minutes, the fire was contained.

The cause of the fire is being investigated, and there were no reported injuries.

What is unknown to us:

The fire’s cause is yet unknown.

Whether anyone was in the hotel room when the fire began is unknown.

Next steps:

Of the hotel’s 232 rooms, 154 were occupied at the time of the fire. Due to water damage, firefighters are collaborating with hotel personnel to decide if visitors may stay on the premises or must depart.
