Dallas Police Chase Ends in Deadly Crash

The collision occurred on I-35 close to the Red Oak Road overpass at approximately 10:25 a.m.

Dallas police officers were pursuing a murder suspect into Red Oak when the suspect collided with another car, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to investigators, one occupant of the second car died in the collision, while another was gravely hurt.

According to DPS troopers, the suspect attempted to flee after exiting his wrecked vehicle with a gun in hand.

According to DPS, the subject was shot by Dallas police officers. The suspect was brought to the hospital after receiving life-saving treatment.

No cops were hurt, according to the police.

At least two SUVs were visible by the side of the road in images from SKY 4, and paramedics were seen putting a number of patients into the back of ambulances.

While the Red Oak Police Department is looking into the fatal collision, DPS is looking into the officer-involved shooting.
