Texas’ ArlingtonAfter authorities concluded there was no threat to the students or community, the lockdown at Pearcy STEM Academy in Arlington was lifted Thursday morning.
We know:
According to Arlington police, school officials reported that a pupil might have taken a firearm to class, so they contacted the police to the school at around 8 a.m. on Thursday.
Lockdown was imposed on the school.
Officials at the school thought the student was carrying a BB gun. They claimed that not all of the pupils were on campus and that the student was in the building prior to the start of classes.
After roughly twenty-five minutes, the lockdown was removed.
The pupil was found, according to police, and an inquiry showed that they had a plastic toy gun in their rucksack.
Officers discovered that before coming to school, the student had sent a threatening text message.
As a result, the kid was transported to the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with making a terroristic threat.
