Dallas Weather: Some North Texas grocery stores closing early today

Is Kroger open today?

According to Kroger, there are presently no plans to alter its Thursday or Friday operating hours.

“We are full steam ahead this week, and our stores are ready for shoppers preparing for the change in the weather,” a representative told FOX 4.

It hasn’t yet ruled out closings or changes, though. If the roads deteriorate too much, the spokeswoman stated, they will reevaluate its operating hours.

Additionally, people are advised to review their prescription drugs and stock up immediately if necessary.

Winter weather does not allow everyone to stay at home. Chip Waggoner, a traffic reporter for FOX 4, offers some safety tips for anyone who has to drive.

Whole Foods Market Hours

Some Whole Foods locations in the DFW region are changing their hours either shutting early or opening late, according to a Whole Foods representative.

Is Tom Thumb open today?

According to a spokeswoman, DFW Tom Thumb and Albertsons locations will open at their usual time of 6 a.m. on Thursday. Stores will, however, close early at 7 p.m.

A representative stated, “We will probably reopen late on Friday morning at 9 a.m.” “After that, we will maintain regular store hours.”

Because of the weather, a number of school districts are shutting on Thursday and Friday.

Walmart Hours

According to a Walmart representative, the majority of the stores will be open for business so that customers may grab their necessities before the storm hits. Nonetheless, each store makes its own decisions on operating hours and store closures.

H-E-B Stores Adjusted Hours

The supermarket company claims that it has merely changed part of its locations’ hours of operation in the affected areas surrounding DFW.

On Thursday, January 9, 2025, the following H-E-B locations will close at 10 p.m. and reopen on Friday, January 10, at 8 a.m.
