Dallas weather: Snow timeline for Thursday

DallasOn Thursday, a variety of winter weather conditions are anticipated in Dallas.

Throughout the Metroplex, snow, sleet, cold rain, and other precipitation are predicted to fall until Friday morning.

Dallas winter storm timing

Timetable:

On Thursday morning, the wintry mix will begin quite early. Before 6 a.m., we anticipate that the wintry mix will cover a large portion of the Metroplex.

Through Thursday afternoon, that wintry mix will rapidly intensify and spread around noon. We anticipate some snow, sleet, and chilly rain. The majority of that rain would fall in the east and south. You can anticipate more snow the further north you go.

We anticipate that the precipitation will transition to snow on Thursday evening and into Thursday night. We anticipate the greatest amount of snow accumulation at that time.

On Friday morning, the snowfall will stop quite early and move eastward.



We predict that much of the Metroplex will receive between 2 and 4 inches of snow, while the north and northeast will receive 3 to 6 inches.

One to three inches of snow could fall in places south of I-20.

Depending on your location, the state of the roads will change significantly.

We don’t expect any traffic problems on Wednesday evening.

Temperatures will be at or slightly below freezing on Thursday morning. Thus, at first, we could observe the development of some slippery areas. particularly on high-altitude roads.

On Thursday, we don’t anticipate any significant problems during the day. The highways north and northeast of the Metroplex are the ones that would experience the most problems.

The weather will worsen on Thursday night, so you should avoid driving.

We will have to contend with slushy or even snow-covered roads on Friday morning when the snow melts.
