Texas’s Fort WorthFort Worth’s North Crowley High School will make it to the state final for the first time in twenty-one years.
For the opportunity to represent Fort Worth at AT&T Stadium on Saturday, the varsity football team defeated Duncanville, a formidable opponent, last weekend.
They have been training for this game all season, according to head coach Ray Gates, even though it still feels unreal.
“We are straight-headed. We’re not turning around. “There’s only one game now,” he stated.
Lancaster, DeSoto, Denton-Guyer, Rockwall, and, most recently, Duncanville were all defeated by North Crowley.
All of that preparation culminates in Saturday’s 6A high school football state championship game between the North Crowley Panthers and Austin Westlake at AT&T Stadium.
Coach Gates and his team will receive rings in only four more quarters.
“No one will recall the events of round five. At the state championship game, they’ll remember,” he added.
Since 2003, North Crowley High has missed more than 20 years of the title.

Texas High School Football State Championship Games
The following players will compete in the Texas High School Football state championship games in 2024–2025 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
With area code 817 displayed on their helmets, the squad claims they are honored to represent the city of Fort Worth.
“Knowing that we have the community behind us, that gives us even more motivation,” Xavier Coleman, a senior, stated.
It’s a unique varsity team with almost 40 seniors.
“We can’t just let somebody come in and take something that we built,” Chris Jimerson, a senior, stated.
Only three years have passed since Coach Gates took over the team. He is now leading them to the largest stage.
“We are kinda the new kid on the block when it comes to being at AT&T Stadium,” he stated. “We have a point to prove.”
But it’s business when that block is in your backyard.
“Just get the job done,” Cornelius Warren, a senior, said. “Come out on top and get that ring, bring it back to 817.”
AT&T Stadium will host the game this Saturday at 7 p.m. The cost of the tickets is $20.
