Man gets 30-year sentence for carjacking, shooting Dallas undercover officer

Near Northwest Highway and Harry Hines Boulevard, Officer Nathaniel Chapman was conducting surveillance in an unmarked vehicle when a car drew up behind him, obstructing his path.

DallasAn undercover Dallas police officer was shot and carjacked by three individuals, one of whom received a 30-year prison sentence.

Three males, including Redtravion Polk, were taken into custody for planning a carjacking in Dallas after traveling from Louisiana. Nathaniel Chapman, an undercover Dallas police officer, was ultimately uptargeted.

Chapman was shot in the leg during a shooting.

Authorities claim they were able to locate the perpetrators thanks to a dropped cell phone.

Redricous Lewis and Xavier Cook, the other two males, are still awaiting trial.
