Dallas weather: Warm weekend for December

Dylan Federico, a meteorologist for FOX 4, examines the weekend’s warm prediction and the times when temperatures may dip.

DallasDallas-Fort Worth will experience a warm December weekend, with the possibility of rain for some.

Most of the region will enjoy a gray and muggy Saturday morning, but there will be showers in some places east of Dallas.

As a weak front moves in from the northwest, we anticipate seeing the sun in the afternoon.

When the sun comes out again, temperatures in most of the region will start around 60 degrees and rise to about 70.

The afternoon and evening will be fantastic for outdoor activities.

On Sunday, clouds will be back, and there’s a slim chance of some rain. There will be some cloud breaks by the afternoon, and the temperature will return to 70 degrees or above.

Overnight Sunday into Monday, another cold front is expected to pass in, potentially bringing showers to between 50 and 60 percent of the region.

It will be warm on Monday, with highs in the 60s.

Temperatures in the 60s are also predicted for Tuesday before a cold front moves in. Rain is predicted from Tuesday night into Wednesday as a result of the front, and by the afternoon, north winds and lower temperatures will return.

By the end of the week, temperatures should be back to normal, with highs in the mid to upper 50s.
