After earning the same degree, a father and son are crossing the same stage on Friday night.
While pursuing their master’s degrees at UT Arlington, the two have been classmates for the last two years.
As they prepared for their own celebration, Oswaldo Ortiz Jr. and Sr. observed a portion of the university’s early event.
“Getting to know him, not just as a dad, but as a student, as a peer, it s something I ll cherish forever,” said Oswaldo Sr.
The age of Oswaldo Jr. is twenty-four. He also shares his father’s passion for high-tech items. His father is a Microsoft employee, although he is currently employed at Citibank.
When Oswaldo Jr. stated, “I wanted to take the next step in my career,” “My advisors suggested that I pursue an MBA. My dad remarked, “You know what would be cool?” when I brought it up to him. if we worked together! I said, “Yeah, right.”
Thus, what began as a joke turned into a reality, albeit with difficulties. About thirty years ago, Oswaldo Sr. received his undergraduate degree in engineering.
“My son was at my side. He claimed to be his co-pilot. Since schooling has changed over the past 30 years, he has always been by my side. In Mexico City, computers were only getting started, but now they are a basic utility.
