There are now around 40 elementary schools in Lewisville ISD. The board is thinking about shutting down five.
These consist of Polser STEM Academy, Highland Village Elementary, Garden Ridge Elementary, Creekside Elementary, and Owen Elementary.

This week, the district will conduct listening tours to gather feedback from the local community. Each of the elementary schools that might have to close will have a listening tour.
Parents and a few students from two of the targeted schools begged the trustees to keep them open during a school board meeting last month.
The board is anticipated to formally announce which schools are closing on Monday night before considering approving boundary changes for the remaining schools.
At the district’s headquarters, the meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
