Texas’s MesquiteA 17-year-old man was shot and killed late Friday night; police in Mesquite are looking into the incident.
Just before midnight, police were alerted to the gunshot on N. Galloway Avenue, close to Republic Parkway.
At the scene, they discovered one victim who had been shot.
Following his injuries, the victim—later identified as 17-year-old Jarren Walker—died.
Police did not provide a description of a potential suspect or announce any arrests.
According to Mesquite Police, the shooting is still being investigated.
