Timothée Chalamet is an SMU football fan, apparently

As the SMU Mustangs football team gets ready to play Clemson in the ACC Championship game on Saturday, there is a lot of excitement surrounding them.

If Timoth é Chalamet’s appearance on College Gameday is to be believed, he is an SMU Mustangs fan.

During his Saturday morning appearance as a guest picker on the popular show, Chalamet referred to SMU as his “favorite team.”

Chalamet declared, “This is the Pony Express’s comeback.”

He then selected the Mustangs to play Clemson in the ACC Championship game on Saturday night.

“My support is for SMU. People, it smells like the 1980s,” Chalamet remarked.

In the Heisman Trophy campaign the following year, the Dune star again threw his support behind SMU quarterback Kevin Jennings.

Although it’s unclear how Chalamet is related to the Ponies, he acknowledged his “Uncle Andy” throughout the segment and expressed his support for the squad.

If Chalamet’s prophecies come to pass and he is indeed Lisan al Gaib, only time will tell.
