The school bus driver inherited this pastime from his father.
“When I go back there and work on wood you save a lot of money from going to a head shrink,” he stated. “It s therapy.”
After a terrifying workday in the Richardson Independent School District on February 1, the significance of this escape increased.
In Dallas, the ordeal began on Skillman Street, just north of Interstate 635. Senkow claimed that as the bus was moving, the children were arguing with one another in the aisles.
“There was complete mayhem. I had to stop since I was no longer able to drive lawfully. He claimed that they were screaming and acting like kids in the aisle.
Senkow was instructed to wait for the police when he pulled over to phone dispatch. However, as soon as they stopped, a man began beating on the door.
“I was unaware of his identity. The bus driver declared, “I will not permit him to board with children on board.”
Senkow made the decision to advance a few yards to one of his usual spots.
“It’s clear that the individual who was knocking on my door followed me there on foot. And he didn’t rap on the door this time. I didn’t realize you could do that,” he remarked, “but he actually grabbed the door and ripped it apart.”
Through an open records request to the Dallas Police Department, FOX 4 was able to receive video of the encounter.
“Alight off my bus. In the footage, the driver can be heard shouting, “Get off my bus.”
“He remained silent. He joined and started arguing with me. Senkow added, “And I had two seconds to react.” “What was going in my mind was defend everybody on board the bus, protect everybody.”
Senkow said that he made a mistake by attempting to shove the suspect out with his left foot and leg.
“He grabbed onto my left ankle and pulled me down the stairs out onto the sidewalk,” he stated.
There had severe bruises on his leg.
In the meantime, the footage shows the frightened kids who saw the attack wailing and sobbing.
Senkow was able to board the bus again.

Corvonta Brooks, 29, the suspect, departed with one or two youngsters who were probably his relatives.
Senkow took a clear shot of him when he came back a few minutes later.
Police were able to identify Brooks on social media seven months later because to that picture.
Man arrested for attacking Richardson ISD bus driver: police
More than seven months have passed since the incident on Skillman Street, but police have just used social media to identify the alleged perpetrator.
“Anybody who could do that to a bus driver in front of children should not be walking around,” Senkow stated.
Brooks is still being held at the Dallas County jail on a charge of elder injury. A $150,000 bond was set for him.
According to the police, he was on probation for a previous assault involving a lethal weapon at the time of the attack.
In January, a court hearing about his probation violations and the felony assault charge will take place.
Senkow currently works for a new school district, but he still drives buses.
