Ennis ISD classes canceled Thursday as city’s water issues continue

ENNIS, Texas—Due to problems with the city’s water supply, EnnisISD canceled school for the fourth consecutive day.

Ellis County’s city is still under a boil water order.

According to a city report, a decline in water pressure Tuesday night necessitated more testing even though certain tests conducted after a water main break revealed no pollutants.

Therefore, the city is holding off on declaring the water safe to drink until that report is completed.

Following a water main break and several additional leaks, the city’s water service was restored on Monday afternoon.

Since Sunday, residents have been under an aboil water notice.
