A special meeting of the school board was held Monday night, and the members decided 5-2 to fire Dr. Jorge Arredondo “for the reasons discussed in closed session.”
After that, they were subjected to a barrage of public remarks.

After the board decided to terminate Arredondo, his lawyer issued a statement.
