According to authorities, a group in an Infiniti fired at 52-year-old Brian Cason Pence’s house on Stonybrooke Drive the night before Thanksgiving, causing him to die inside.
Police in North Richland Hills claim that the three suspects who targeted the wrong house were apprehended with the use of neighborhood security footage.
According to authorities, 17-year-old Alexander Ortega, 18-year-old Martin Marquez Diaz, and 19-year-old Anthony Zapata drove by and opened fire on Pence’s house the night before Thanksgiving.
Pence was in bed when one of the shots struck him. After being brought to the hospital, he passed away.
Police claim that they were able to locate the suspect car, a 2006 silver Infiniti, thanks to neighborhood monitoring.
The suspects were then located and taken into custody by Fort Worth police officers and North Richland Hills detectives.
Investigators discovered that the intended victim lives close by and that Pence was not the target.
“It was the wrong house,” stated Sarah Chilutti, a police officer from North Richland Hills.
The incident was caused by what the authorities are referring to as a “juvenile feud.”
“So when we say juvenile feud, a young teenage fight,” Chilutti stated. “Nothing of substance and nothing that should have been taken to this level of violence.”
First-degree murder charges have been brought against all three.

Marquez Diaz and Zapata were arrested and taken to the Tarrant County jail. Ortega is still being held in the local jail in Fort Worth. They are all accused with capital murder.
