DALLAS—A week after being hurried off the stage after a health crisis, Bishop T.D. Jakes addressed the audience virtually on Sunday at The Potter’s House of Dallas.

“I told you last Sunday that I would see you this Sunday, and so here I am,” Jakes said to the applauding audience.

Jakes, 67, had what The Potter’s House initially described as a “minor health incident” during his sermon last Sunday.

Jakes stated, “Many of you don’t realize you’re looking at a miracle,” on Sunday. “I had emergency surgery after experiencing a life-threatening situation and being taken to the intensive care unit. survived the operation.

Jakes was seen lowering his microphone and beginning to shiver in a social media video from the church.

Jakes claims that because he was surrounded by people on stage during last Sunday’s medical emergency, he was unaware of what was going on.

“I looked around and saw everybody around me, and I was annoyed because I didn’t know why everybody was around me,” he said.

He did not specify the specific cause of his medical crisis.

Jakes urged the congregation to celebrate despite his inability to give God the kind of physical adoration he would prefer.

Jakes did not specify when he would resume giving in-person sermons.

His daughter led the audience in prayer for her father’s recovery after he spoke on Sunday morning.
