“We haven’t been able to identify the perpetrator, so it’s simply terrible. John Tyler, the father of the adolescent victim Alexis Tyler, stated, “That is what has hurt me the most.”

The incident took place at an Airbnb in Arlington’s Entertainment District on Saturday night, in the 900 block of Slaughter Street.

Mesquite resident Alexis Tyler, 18, and an unidentified 19-year-old guy were discovered shot inside the house.

After hearing gunfire, a neighbor reported to police that they seen multiple individuals fleeing the scene and boarding a white automobile.

Detectives are examining local surveillance footage, but the investigation has been difficult due of the ambiguous vehicle description, according to Arlington police spokesperson Tim Ciesco.

“I can confirm that we found several shell casings at the location. According to Ciesco, both individuals were shot several times. “One individual wasn’t the only one who fired a shot and fled. This person had the deliberate intent to murder and injure others.

In her honor, Tyler’s family hosted a balloon release, and friends and family attended as well.

Tyler was pursuing a career as a medical assistant after graduating from Mesquite High School in May.

She was a good kid overall and a straight-A student. No grievances. Ruth Cole, her mother, stated, “She never caused me any problems.”

Police stated that they believe the culprit knew the victims and that robbery has been ruled out as a motive.

It is thought that the suspect and other teenagers departed in a white vehicle.

Arlington police are asking anyone with knowledge to get in touch.
