The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announced the arrest of a St. Johnsville man named Robert Myers Jr., age 47, on a felony bench warrant. Myers was charged with first-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

Myers was taken into custody on Monday after he pleaded guilty to the charge but failed to surrender himself to county court on Saturday. Due to his failure to appear, a felony bench warrant was issued against him.

The Sheriff’s Office discovered Myers was at his home. Members of the MCSO, State Police, and the St. Johnsville Police Department went to his residence to investigate. After a brief period, Myers surrendered and was taken to Montgomery County Jail to await arraignment, according to the MCSO.
