FORT WORTH—A 51-year-old inmate at the Tarrant County Jail is the subject of an investigation by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
On Monday, December 2, the guy passed away at John Peter Smith Hospital.
According to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, the prisoner informed the staff that he wasn’t feeling well. After being inspected by jail medical staff, he was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
The prisoner lost consciousness and had to be revived.
While receiving treatment at the hospital, he passed away.

On April 21, Anthony Ray Johnson, age 31, passed away following a scuffle in the Tarrant County Jail. While he was being restrained, one of the correctional guards can be seen on camera squatting on his back.
The Fort Worth Police Department arrested the guy on September 10, 2024, on many felony counts of ongoing sexual abuse of a kid under the age of 14 and two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a juvenile, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Officials will reveal the inmate’s name after the cause of death has been established.
The Texas Commission on Jail Standards, the Texas Attorneys General office, the medical examiner’s office, the sheriff’s office, hospital medical personnel, and an independent law enforcement agency are all looking into the death.
