According to the sheriff’s office, three adolescents, a deputy, and a Forney ISD police were among the five individuals injured by shrapnel. Due to minor injuries, the children and the sheriff’s deputy were transported to the hospital. The school officer declined more care.
Although the altercation took place close to North Forney High School, it had nothing to do with the school.
It was “after hours, off-site and not a school incident,” according to a Forney ISD official. Additionally, they explained that the school officer was merely reacting to a backup request.
The only thing that Forney police have confirmed is that they helped the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office at a “scene.”
