Texas’ ArlingtonFour young people have been charged with capital murder in connection with a series of violent crimes in Arlington. According to police, a man they shot passed away this week.
Angel Barajas, 17, Ja Tavies Jones, 17, and Humberto Barajas, 20, are among the suspects. The identity of the fourth suspect has not been made public because he is a minor.
They are charged with shooting Juan Sosa, 34, to death on Sunday.
On Wednesday, Sosa passed away in the hospital.
The Backstory:
Around three in the morning on Sunday, police discovered Sosa slouched in a car in a parking lot on Little Road close to Highway 287.
Officers were informed by a woman who was with him when the shooting occurred that a Honda Civic pulled up behind them as they were getting into the vehicle.
One of the four individuals that exited the Civic brandished a gun at the pair and ordered them to do so. They fired shots, and Sosa was hit.
After getting back into the Civic, the suspects took off.

Three of the four suspects thought to be connected to two different shootings on Saturday have been taken into custody, according to Arlington police.
Later that morning, officers saw it and what looked to be a Lincoln Town Car pursuing it. The Civic drove off when they attempted to stop the two vehicles.
Humberto Barajas and the young suspect exited the Town Car once it came to a stop. They were both taken into custody.
Shortly after, the Civic crashed on Browning Drive. Angel Barajas was taken into custody by police at a nearby apartment complex.
The fourth suspect, Jones, was subsequently located and taken into custody.
Since then, police have discovered that the Town Car was taken in Grand Prairie and the Civic was reported stolen from Dallas.
An earlier gunshot at an apartment complex in Arlington that injured a lady and a dog was also linked to the Civic and the four suspects.

The Honda Civic was reported stolen from Dallas on December 14 at 9:45 p.m.
The four suspects were involved in a shooting at an apartment complex on Deer Creek Drive in Arlington on December 15 at 1:30 a.m. The young men knocked on their door and inquired for a man who didn’t live there, according to a woman and her boyfriend. The gang started arguing with the guy. One of the males took out a gun and began shooting at the flat as the other man went to fetch a bat. A gunshot skimmed a dog, and the woman was struck in the arm. It is anticipated that both will be well. The Civic was used to escape the accused.
About 12 miles from the initial shooting location, on December 15 at 3 a.m., four suspects shot Juan Sosa, 34, in a Civic.
A Lincoln Town Car was reported stolen in Grand Prairie on December 15 at 4:20 a.m.
Patrol officers saw the Civic and Town Car in the 1600 block of Parkway Lane on December 15 around 5 a.m. The Town Car stopped, but the Civic drove off. A juvenile male and 20-year-old Humberto Barajas were arrested.
On December 15, just after five in the morning, a Civic crashed in the 2100 block of Browning Drive, and 17-year-old Angel Barajas was taken into custody at a nearby apartment building.
Dec. 18: Sosa passed away in the hospital from his wounds. All four suspects were subsequently issued arrest warrants for capital murder and aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon by detectives.
Dec. 19: Ja Tavies Jones, 17, was found and taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force in Arlington.

The Charges:
