PALMER, Texas:On Christmas Day, police in the city of Palmer, in Ellis County, are looking into a possible murder-suicide.

What We Know: At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police were summoned to Palmer’s Poinsettia Drive. Officers were informed by a neighbor that they had discovered a man and woman who were not responding and may have been shot.

Byron Olivere, 55, of Waxahachie, and Sierra Roarx, 31, of Palmer, were found dead when police arrived.

The two reportedly had a past relationship, according to the police.

Before shooting himself, officers think Olivere shot Roarx.

Olivere worked for the Grand Prairie Police Department from 2002 until 2018, the department confirmed to FOX 4. According to GPPD, his most recent job was as a property room technician.
