Texas’s AmarilloAccording to Amarillo Police, a shooting at a nightclub early on Sunday morning left one guy dead and nine others wounded. The driver, Nahryah Hilesta Ines Hayes, 21, of Amarillo, and the gunman, Robert Kenney Knox, 23, of Amarillo, have been charged with eight counts of lethal conduct and one count of murder, according to investigators.
Deadly Amarillo Shooting
We know:
According to investigators, multiple 911 reports of a shooting in the 700 block of S. Polk Street were placed shortly after two in the morning on Sunday.
According to witnesses, a car pulled up to the door of an open nightclub, and a single individual stepped out and started shooting at a sizable crowd with a rifle.
The guy returned to the car and drove away after firing several bullets.
Another witness chose to track the suspect’s car and reported the direction of travel to 911.
Deputies from the Randall County Sheriff’s Office located and stopped the car.
After being placed under custody, three individuals were brought to the Homicide division of the Amarillo Police Department to be questioned.
Six of the nine victims of gunshot wounds were sent to hospitals for treatment. Three more were driven in a private vehicle to the hospital.
John Love Louima, a 25-year-old victim, passed away in the hospital after suffering several gunshot wounds.
Robert Kenney Knox was named as the alleged shooter. Nahryah Hilesta Ines Hayes was identified as the car’s driver. Britt Crinson Cave, age 22, has been recognized as a passenger in the backseat.
Randall County Jail is the source of Britt Brinson Cave, 22.
Eight counts of lethal conduct and one count of murder have been brought against Knox and Hayes.
Cave has been accused of being intoxicated in public.
According to investigators, there may have been an altercation inside the pub before to the shooting.
What is unknown to us:
As of right now, the eight patients who were brought to the hospital are still in critical condition.
Two of the three arrested have not yet had their mugshots made public as of this writing.
